sweet attic room, charming historical significance, atmospheric breakfast room
Access to the annex could definitely be more user-friendly!!! The dark and outdated decor does not do this hotel justice!!! The limited dinner options might leave some guests disappointed!!!

I loved the unique character of the charming old building! The breakfast was great, and the hot tub was a nice bonus. Just be aware that stairs are everywhere, so pack your comfy shoes. 😄

Absolutely loved staying at Tindastoll. The unique charm of this historic building made every moment special. My room, a Deluxe Room, had character with beautiful exposed beams and was quite spacious. I really appreciated the heated floors in the bathroom, which added a nice touch of comfort. Breakfast was delightful with a good selection of breads, cheeses, and pastries. Dining in the atmospheric breakfast room felt cozy and inviting. However, accessing the room involved navigating quite a steep staircase, which could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. Limited access to electrical outlets in the room posed a minor inconvenience too.

the so-called historical charm of this hotel was nice, but my room was cramped and the floor creaked like a haunted house. and let’s not forget the pain of stepping on exposed wood from the old flooring—what a delightful surprise! i would have expected a special gesture for my troubles, like a complimentary meal, but no such luck.

charming stay but limited dining options
The hotel has an incredible character and charm that enhanced our experience. Our room was spacious, comfortably accommodating four adults with classic decor that truly represents the hotel’s history. Breakfast featured quality local ingredients, making it one of the highlights of our stay, especially with the atmospheric dining room that set a lovely tone for the morning.
While we enjoyed the charm, we found the limited dinner options could be disappointing for some guests.

Charming historical feel with delightful dining!
I really enjoyed my stay in the original building where the charm and history just shine through. The breakfast spread was impressive, featuring a variety of traditional Icelandic options. Dining for dinner was a highlight. their limited menu allowed for a focus on quality, and I had one of the best lamb dishes I've ever tasted! However, the steep stairs can be a hassle if you're not traveling light.

Tindastoll offered a distinctive character with charming exposed beams and a cozy atmosphere. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom featured heated floors, which added to the overall comfort. I particularly enjoyed the quality of the dinner and breakfast, with a fixed price for a choice of one of two mains and a dessert, showcasing superb home-style cooking. The thermal spa outside, coupled with the small hot tub in the courtyard, provided a perfect way to unwind after a long day.
The tap water had a notable odor.
